
Intro to Yoga Series
Excellent for new and returning students to yoga. This 3-class introductory course teaches you skillful alignment principles to safely practice the poses, along with breathing techniques and the heart opening philosophy of Anusara yoga. Class Descriptions:
Following are descriptions of classes at both our studios. Please note that some classes occur at both studios; Iyengar and Flow are exclusive to Connect! with Yoga in Fountain Hills; The Practice is exclusive to Yoga Village.
Meditation Class—a variety of meditation techniques will be introduced and practiced. All experience levels welcome.
Gentle/Beginners—for students new to yoga. A quieter tone and slower paced class that also teaches students the basics of yoga.
Restorative Yoga—all poses are supported with props to facilitate deep relaxation.
Iyengar/Intense Stretch—You are guided into deep stretches that are held for several minutes. Flow sequence included. Moderate fitness, all experience levels.
Basics—for students with little or no yoga experience.
All Levels—is open to beginning as well as intermediate students. All welcome!
Vinyasa/Flow—for students of all levels who are ready to experience a more fast-paced, flowing class.
Intermediate—for students that have a good understanding of the Anusara Principles of Alignnment.
Intermediate/Advanced—for students with a strong practice and a strong understanding of the Anusara Principles of Alignment.
Intermediate Practice—a blend of Intermediate and The Practice. More advanced poses are introduced.
The Practice—for the intermediate/advanced students with a clear understanding of the Anusara Principles of Alignment who want to raise the bar of their practice. More advanced poses are introduced.
Kids Yoga—a fun, playful class for families to enjoy Yoga. Two classes available: ages 3-7 years and ages 8-12 years. Download the flyer
NEW!Deep Play Dance: Let your Yoga practice flow into playful dance to find more fluidity, range of movement and stamina. This dance practice draws on basic movement truths gathered from diverse places such as Tai Chi, Qi Gong, IyengarYoga, Capoeria, Movement Therapy, Shamanic Practices and Modern Dance.
